Since 1975, Oak Park Festival Theatre has welcomed thousands of neighbors from Oak Park and beyond to enjoy what downtown Oak Park has to offer. This past year marked our historic 50th season, which brought over 5,000 individuals from 225 unique zip codes into the heart of our community. These audiences visit our local attractions. They shop at our stores. They eat at our restaurants.

Our Audience is Growing!
In 2022, we hosted 2,600 audience In attendees. In 2023 and 2024, we welcomed over 3,400 audience members between July and August. In 2025, we passed over 5,000 patrons enjoying Shakespeare under the canopy of Austin Gardens!

As our audience grows, so does our reach. Though, most of our audience is local, we were visited by patrons from 14 different states in Summer 2023. We thrive because we invite diversity into our community.
Rapidly Growing Presence
In the past year, our Instagram follower count has seen a rapid increase with no signs of slowing down. Additional funding increases our capacity to keep up-to-date on trends and expand our reach even further.
