Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there, wondering, fearing, doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before.

-Edgar Allan Poe

Five years after the death of his beloved wife Virginia, Edgar Allan Poe grapples with love and madness in this wildly innovative theatre experience.  This unique performance leads audience members through historic Pleasant Home’s wooded halls with a different tale of terror in every room.

Follow the ghost of Virginia Poe as she stirs up memories from beyond the grave, or follow Edgar as he winds his way from “The Telltale Heart” to “The Pit and the Pendulum”.  Lonely ghosts, mad murderers and memories are around every corner in this autumn’s most unexpected haunted house.

Quoth the raven, "Nevermore"

How did she die?

“I’ve been a huge fan of this show since seeing it for the first time at First Folio so many years ago. Though members of the cast and the location have changed several times since, I am in awe of the depth to be mined from the stories of Edgar Allan Poe. There is always something new to learn, and always a new surprise this show seems to offer. Building on the incredible work of prior directors of this piece such as Alison Vesely and Skyler Schremp, it is a great honor and privilege to bring this play back one last time.”
