BARBARA CIMAGLIO GOVERNANCE CHAIR
Barbara Cimaglio is a native Chicagoan who moved to Oak Park in 2017 following her retirement as Deputy Commissioner of the Vermont Department of Health. After living away from the area for 20 years she and her husband Dan Cimaglio, a native of Oak Park, chose to return home to be close to family and life-long friends. Barbara is an avid theater lover and has attended performances of local and professional theater wherever she has lived. In her thirteen years in Shelburne, Vermont she served on the Board of the Shelburne Players, the local community theater. It was there she came to appreciate the tremendous dedication of the people “behind the scenes” who make it all possible. Barbara is also a Commissioner on the Aging in Communities Commission of the Village of Oak Park. Her passion is strengthening community through social programs and the arts. In her free time she enjoys travel, art, film, reading and cooking. She brings her strong human resources and program administrative skills as well as her love of theater to her role on the Board.
