Meet TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD Director Vaun Monroe

Vaun Monroe (Director) is a freelance director and professor who previously was Assistant Professor in the Film and Video Department at Columbia College Chicago where he taught Directing, Screenwriting and Film Studies. He also taught at Ithaca College, Cornell University and Morgan State University. His last production was Ceremonies in Dark Old Men, which won in several categories at the 2013 Black Theater Alliance Awards. Other Chicago work includes Birthright at eta Creative Arts, Trouble in Mind at The Artistic Home and Powder at The American Blues Theater. To Kill A Mockingbird is his first production at Oak Park Festival Theatre.
