Jack Hickey
* (Sheriff Heck Tate) is the Artistic Director of Oak Park Festival Theatre, now in his 14th year with the company. Roles here include Sir Toby Belch in Twelfth Night, Charlie in Seascape, Michael (Equity Jeff Nomination) in Someone Who’ll Watch Over Me, Henry Drummond in Inherit the Wind, Falstaff in The History of King Henry the Fourth, Fluellen in Henry V, Teddy in Faith Healer, Friar Lawrence in Romeo and Juliet, Bottom in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and the title role in Cyrano de Bergerac. For the Festival, Jack has directed As You Like It, Much Ado About Nothing, Love’s Labour’s Lost, and The Comedy of Errors. Jack directed You Can’t Take It With You for Village players and Oscar Wilde’s The Ideal Husband for Northern Illinois University. Recently Jack played Andrew Undershaft with ShawChicago’s Major Barbara. A proud member of Actor’s Equity for 35 years, his favorite roles include; Buckminster Fuller in the one man show R. Buckminster Fuller: The History and Mystery of the Universe, Alfred Doolittle in Pygmalion, Ko-Ko in The Mikado, and Cyrano in Cyrano de Bergerac
