Jack Hickey (Gremio) is the Artistic Director for OPFT, and earlier this season played Col. Pickering in Pygmalion. This is his 15th year with the company and The Taming of the Shrew marks his 24th production here. He is delighted to welcome Jhenai Mootz as Managing Director here! For OPFT, Jack directed As You Like It, The Comedy of Errors, Much Ado About Nothing, and Love’s Labour’s Lost. Jack directed An Ideal Husband for NIU, and for Village Players final season, he directed You Can’t Take It With You.nRoles with the Festival include Claudius in Hamlet, Sir Toby Belch in Twelfth Night, Sheriff Heck Tate in To Kill A Mockingbird, Michael (Equity Jeff Nomination) in Someone Who’ll Watch Over Me, Drummond in Inherit the Wind, Falstaff in Henry IV, Fluellen in Henry V, Teddy in Faith Healer and the title role in Cyrano de Bergerac. Jack is also a company member of ShawChicago, where this fall he will play John Tarleton in G. B. Shaw’s Misalliance. Other recent ShawChicago credits include William the Waiter in You Never Can Tell, The Devil in Don Juan in Hell, and Andrew Undershaft in Major Barbara.
