A re-creation of a 1940’s live radio broadcast of THE 39 STEPS!
Inspired by Hitchcock’s classic film and performed as a live period radio play, this romantic thriller is a fast-paced ride through the signature world of the Master of Suspense. In a London music hall Richard Hannay meets Annabella Smith who is on the run from foreign agents. She begs for his protection and later that night, Annabella is murdered in Hannay’s flat. Hannah, now on the lam from Scotland Yard, must then try to break the spy ring and prove his innocence. From an epic train chase to a feisty love interest, Hannay has his work cut out for him as he searches for the truth about The 39 Steps.

Oak Park Festival Theatre in conjunction with the Nineteenth Century Charitable Association will  transport the audience back to the halcyon days of radio with a theatrical recreation of a “live remote broadcast” of this thrilling radio mystery from WVOP’s Theater of the Air.
